How We Use Your Data
We use your information exclusively to provide the KC service:
To make calls: Schedule and conduct check-in conversations
To provide summaries: Generate AI summaries of conversations for authorised viewers
To improve the service: Analyze patterns to make conversations more natural and helpful
To send alerts: Notify authorised account holders of important concerns or missed calls
To provide support: Help you with technical issues or questions
We will NEVER: Sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than providing KC services.
Who Can Access Your Data
Who Can See Your Data
Access to your call summaries and emotional insights depends on your account type:
Self-managed accounts (Solo Plan): Only you can see your call summaries, emotional insights, and alerts. Your data is completely private to you.
Carer-managed accounts (Family/Circle Plans): Your designated carer can view your summaries and receive alerts. This requires your explicit consent when the account is set up. You can revoke this access at any time.
No one else has access to your conversation data unless you explicitly grant it.
KC Staff
Limited KC administrative staff may access basic account information only:
What admins CAN see: Your email, name, phone number, account status, and signup date
What admins CANNOT see: Call histories, conversation summaries, emotional analysis, or any personal call content
Technical support staff may access conversation summaries only when you explicitly request help with a specific call issue.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers for:
AI conversation processing: ElevenLabs (real-time processing, no storage)
Authentication: WorkOS (passwordless login)
Payment processing: Stripe (we never see your full card details)
Hosting: Railway and Cloudflare (encrypted data storage)
All providers are vetted for security and GDPR compliance.
Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
We use passwordless authentication (passkeys/magic links) for added security

Access controls limit who can view your data
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access: Download all your data at any time
Correction: Update or correct your information
Deletion: Delete your account and all data (completed within 30 days)
Call summaries: Kept for as long as your account is active, plus 90 days
Account data: Kept until you delete your account
Billing records: Kept for 7 years (legal requirement)
Full conversation transcripts: We do not store transcripts in our database. Our AI provider (ElevenLabs) retains transcripts for up to 30 days for quality assurance, then permanently deletes them. We only receive and store AI-generated summaries.
Age Requirement
KC is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
International Users
KC is based in Australia. If you're accessing KC from outside Australia:
Your data is primarily stored and processed in Australia
Some processing may occur in the US (via our technology providers)
We comply with GDPR for European users
We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
