By using KC (Keeping Connected), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.
These terms apply to all users, whether you're signing up for yourself or for someone in your family.
2. Description of Service
KC provides AI-powered phone check-in calls to help you stay connected with loved ones or maintain your own wellbeing through regular conversations.
What KC is:
- A social connection service
- A conversation companion
- A way to stay informed about wellbeing
What KC is NOT:
- Medical care or medical advice
- Emergency services (always contact your local emergency services)
- Mental health therapy or counseling
- A replacement for human connection
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18+ to create an account
- If setting up calls for someone else, you must have their permission
- You must provide accurate information
- One account per email address
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account secure
- All activity under your account
- Maintaining accurate contact information
- Notifying us of any security breaches
5. Free Trial & Billing
Free Trial
- 14-day free trial, no credit card required
- Full access to your chosen plan during trial
- No automatic billing until trial ends
- We'll remind you before trial expires
Paid Subscriptions
- Billed monthly in advance
- Automatic renewal unless cancelled
- Prices are in AUD and subject to change with 30 days notice
- No refunds for partial months, except within first 30 days

6. Cancellation
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings
- No cancellation fees
- Service continues until end of billing period
- No refunds for unused time (except 30-day guarantee)
7. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Harass, abuse, or threaten the AI or KC staff
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
- Share your account with unauthorized users
- Use the service to collect data about others
- Impersonate others or provide false information
8. Content & Privacy
- You retain ownership of your personal information
- We never store full call recordings (see Privacy Policy)
- Call summaries are shared only with your designated circle
- You're responsible for who you add to your circle
9. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime, but:
- Service may be interrupted for maintenance (we'll notify you)
- We're not liable for missed calls due to technical issues
- Internet/phone service issues are outside our control
- Emergency situations always require your local emergency services, not KC
10. Limitation of Liability
Important: KC is a social connection service, not medical care.
- We are not liable for medical emergencies or health outcomes
- We cannot guarantee specific results or outcomes
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
- We're not responsible for third-party services (phone carriers, internet providers)
Emergencies: For medical emergencies, always contact your local emergency services. KC is not an emergency service.
11. Intellectual Property
- KC's technology, design, and content are our property
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service
- Trademarks and branding remain our property
12. Changes to Service & Terms
- We may update features and pricing with notice
- Significant term changes require 30 days notice
- Continued use after changes means you accept new terms
- You can cancel if you don't agree with changes
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Fail to pay (after reasonable notice)
- Use the service harmfully
We'll provide notice when possible and allow you to export your data.
14. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia
- Disputes will be resolved in NSW courts
- Australian Consumer Law rights apply to Australian users
- GDPR rights apply for EU users
15. Dispute Resolution

- If unresolved, we'll try mediation
- Legal action is a last resort
